Moss Growing Between Tiles!

Tiled Roofs

Moss growing in between tiles and in the water courses can cause leaks in your roof. It is best to get this sorted quickly before damage is done the plaster. The water courses are designed to help water flow down the roof, moss blocking these can casue moisture build up and issues with leaks. Using Moss Roof Treatment we are able to kill the moss and spores and stop it from growing and getting worse. Once dead, the moss will begin to break down and wash away. This is a gentle application that has long lasting results, conventional cleaning methods can work ok but to clean water courses using high pressure water is risky and can cause water to get into the roof cavity. With certain tiles it is difficult to pressure clean, because of brittleness, style of tiles and age of tile. So, it is best to use a treatment product to avoid breaking tiles and walking on the roof which can also disturb tiles. Moss Roof Treatment is an effective way to kill and prevent moss growth. Call today if you think this may be an issue on your roof.

WHY TREAT YOUR ROOF?

Benefits Of Moss Roof Treatment

Applying Moss Roof Treatment to your roof surface is a long lasting process that kills the spores to prevent moss from growing back quickly. Moss Roof Treatment is applied to the roof surfaces where contamination is present, the product is applied to completely saturate the roof. It is then left to penetrate into the moss, mould and lichen. The rain and wind then helps to shift the dead moss, there is no need for any harsh high pressure cleaning that can cause roof leaks, strip surfaces of protective coatings and still leave moss spores to re grow. This application is gentle on all surfaces, we treat terracotta & cement tiles, colorbond, slate tiles, laser light, solar panels, skylights, underside of gutters and other roofing materials. We have a three year guarantee that no new green growth will appear on the roof and if this does we will reapply to the area free of charge.
